Trasformazione ed evoluzione per la famosa cantautrice statunitense dalla voce languida, Cat Power – nome d’arte di Charlyn Marshall- che lancia il suo ultimo album dal titolo significativo: SUN.
Un disco che segna un primo passo verso una timida positività e si allontana gradualmente da quella disperazione la cui vetta è stata I Don’t Blame You ( fotografia dell’autodistruzione della rock star Kurt Cobain).
Tutte le canzoni dell’album  sono state prodotte e suonate direttamente da Cat Power che, subendo una costante evoluzione musicale, di generi e sonorità, approda con SUN a ritmi più elettronici con loop, drum machine e sintetizzatori.
La protagonista assoluta rimane sempre la voce straordinariamente sensuale, sussurrata e malinconica.
Cherokee, Ruin, Real Life, piccoli capolavori dove spesso piano e chitarra si lasciano contaminare dai synth.
